The 3 Essential Keys for Your Weight Loss Journey

There are 3 essential keys to finding success in your weight loss journey and I am super excited to be able to bring them together in this new community to offer them to you!

After I lost 100 pounds, I knew I wanted to help other do the same however I could, but I wanted to make sure I had training to back up my experience, so I earned my personal trainer and health coach certifications through ACE.

When I first got my health coaching certification, I knew I wanted to connect with women and help them break through the barriers holding them back on their weight loss journey, but I just hadn’t been able to find the best way to do it.

For the last two years, I’ve just had this dream of creating some kind of place where women could come, connect, share their hearts and their struggles, and get support, guidance, and encouragement on their weight loss journeys (because losing weight is HARD and so discouraging!).

I created this 90-day program, Finding Freedom, with devotionals, videos, tracking worksheets, and all kinds of other great stuff, but I wasn’t sure how to best offer it to you.

I wanted to create a safe place, but I wasn’t sure how, and I didn’t want location to be an issue (thank you, internet, for closing the distance gap!).

Now, all of the pieces have finally come together!

I am thrilled to announce that I am opening up the So Very Blessed Community, a membership site for Christian women working on losing weight and building a healthy lifestyle (did I mention the community part is FREE?)!

It brings together the three areas that are essential in your weight loss journey

There are 3 essential keys to finding success in your weight loss journey and I am super excited to be able to bring them together and offer them to you!

#1 – Practical Tips 

It gives you the practical tips you need to eat better, move more, and transform every area of your health. There are

  • videos
  • tracking worksheets
  • meal plans

and more to help you take action steps to lose weight, one small change at a time. I have hundreds of simple little things you can change in your life that make big transformations over time (like, you know, losing 100 pounds).

Things as simple as using a smaller plate at dinner. Even if you load it up with the same amount of food as normal, you are essentially tricking your brain into thinking it’s eating more so less food will fill you up.

#2 – Your Mindset

It also gives you ways to change your thoughts and your mindset about cravings, dieting, etc. Your thought life is what determines your actions, so it’s important to zero in on the root of the problem, not just the symptoms.

I give you simple ways to gradually shift your mindset away from the traditional diet & exercise model (AKA rabbit food and torture) and onto building a lifestyle you actually enjoy living that is full of healthy choices.

Little things like using the word “don’t” instead of “can’t” when you are talking about changes you are making. If you say, I don’t drink more than one soda at a meal versus I can’t drink more than one soda at a meal, it makes a difference. It gives you the power in your decision making instead of making you feel like the victim of your choices. Try it!

#3 – Your Heart

And, my favorite piece of all, it also encourages your heart. Don’t ignore this piece!

Your emotions are just as connected to your weight loss journey as your action steps are (proven when we run to comfort foods in stress, loneliness, and worry).

When it comes to conquering insecurities, breaking through a lack of motivation, and picking yourself up when you’ve fallen off the bandwagon (again), it takes a lot of support and encouragement. Having a safe and supportive community of people around you is so important!

When we look in the mirror after months of hard work and still feel disappointed with the body staring back at us, we need people to talk us through the discouragement and keep us going, even when we don’t feel like it. We need people to believe in us when we don’t believe in ourselves, who actually understand the tough stuff we’re going through.
