A New Year’s Blessing For You
Step into the new year full of hope, truth, encouragement, and great expectations to see how God will move in your life with this New Year’s blessing.
One of my very favorite things about my church is at the end of every service, after the message and the worship, the pastor comes back on stage and he speaks a blessing over the congregation.
Many of us hold our palms out in front of us, reflecting the desires of our heart to fully receive his words.
Sometimes the blessing is connected to the sermon he just gave and sometimes it’s something else altogether, but it is always full of words of comfort and encouragement from Scripture that he uses to send us off into our weeks.
It is something that touches my heart deeply.
Another way to speak the Word of God into and over my life and I wanted to share that experience with you.
I pray for you regularly, even if I don’t know you by name.
So today, as you head into the new year with hopes, dreams, and plans, here is my blessing for you.

It’s longer than my pastor’s blessings, because, well, I have a heck of a lot of good things I want to pray over you!
Your New Year’s Blessing
May God bless you and keep you
May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you
May the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26)

When you are struggling to make ends meet, may He provide for all of your needs, blessing you abundantly with every good and perfect gift (Philippians 4:19, James 1:17)

May you fall in love with Him more and more, finding delight in Him and His Word, and may you prosper in everything that you do (Psalm 1:1-3)

May he fill you with hope, grant the desires of your heart, and make your plans succeed (Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 20:4)

May you taste and see that the Lord is good every single day (Psalm 34:8)

When you are overwhelmed, may He lead you beside still waters, restoring your soul (Psalm 23:2-3)

May He shine His light into any areas of darkness in your life, and may you trade your fear for faith. (John 8:12)

May you grow the fruit of the spirit in your life this year – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)

May He teach you not only to give patient and persevering love, but also to fully receive it yourself (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

May you choose to trust and give your life and its outcomes completely to Him, even when you don’t understand, falling into His loving arms in faith (Proverbs 3:5-6)

May you push aside the comparison, doubt, vanity, and attacks of the world and root your worth in Christ alone (Colossians 2:6-7)

May you treat your body gently, like the temple that it is, and may you listen to the nudgings of the Holy Spirit in your life (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

May you be generous in your giving, grateful in your receiving, faithful in your serving, and may you overflow with joy. (Deuteronomy 15:10, 1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Take these truths with you as you walk into the New Year, my friends!
Blessings,
Becky

Becky, I loved this so much that I’m going to print it to meditate on these scriptures as I begin my New Year. (It would make a great printable for your readers by the way). 🙂
Thank you so much for blessing us. I wish the same for you.
Happy New Year!

I love this! “Fear for Faith” is a focus for this especially as we are welcoming baby #2 in a few months and my son will be 21 months when she is born! I also really love how you tied each one with scripture. 🙂
How exciting, Gloryanna! What a wonderful blessing to look forward to this year! Praying for a healthy pregnancy and smooth transition as your family grows!
