Are you wanting to read the Scripture to walk you through the Christmas story to keep your eyes on Christ during the holidays?
Here’s a 25-day Advent Bible reading plan that can guide you through the Christmas season this December, helping you focus on the story of Jesus’ birth and the anticipation of His coming.
How To Get The Most Out Of This Reading Plan
1 – Download and print the reading plan below
The holiday season can be very busy, so get the plan ready so it’s waiting for you to start on December 1st!
Keep it in a place that is easily accessible like posted on your fridge or folded in your Bible. Somewhere you will see it and use it each day!
2 – Plan a specific time of day you will do your reading.
- Perhaps you will use these daily Bible readings during the month of December as you go through your Advent calendar this year.
- If you are going through this plan by yourself, maybe you want to read through the Scriptures during your morning quiet time in front of the Christmas tree.
- Maybe you want to do the readings as a whole family around the dinner table each night or as you put the kids to bed at night.
- You can use these verses to read with your small group, Bible study, women’s ministry, or other group from your church.
When I start something new, I almost always set a reminder notification on my phone because, despite my best intentions, my brain is very prone to forget my new plans!
3 – Say a prayer.
You can use this sample short prayer below or use your own:
Lord, use these Bible verses to draw me nearer to You this Advent season. I want to know You more. Amen.
