1. Prayer to Grow in Boldness
Through prayer we can communicate with God, and ask Him to mold and shape us. As we read His word and see what it says about boldness, we can ask God to help us live out His word better, and grow in boldness.
Lord,
Thank You for Your great and bold acts of love towards us. You did not withhold even Your Son, and through Him we now have life everlasting. Thank You for the great work of Christ on the cross, and that it has brought me from death to life.
My prayer is that this life that I now live would be lived in boldness for Christ. Just as He gave His life for me, help me to give my life for Him each day. Keep me from shying away from being a bold witness to Christ and His good news.
I know that it is not my own abilities that I rely on, but on the power of Your Holy Spirit working in and through me. I ask that Your Spirit would grow me in boldness, confidence and courage. Help me to stand firm in my faith, and not be moved by the world and its pressures to fit in.
Whenever I encounter hatred for my faith, I ask that You would remind me that Christ endured hatred too. Remind me that living for Christ means that I will endure the same treatment that He endured and that it is an honor to suffer for the sake of Christ. In Jesus’ name, amen.

It can be intimidating to share the gospel. Whether that is with a total stranger or people who you know. Thank You for the good news! There would not be any hope for us apart from Christ, and His sacrificial work on the cross. But the good news is not only that Jesus died on the cross for our sin, but that He rose again, and defeated sin and death.
This good news is not only for me to keep to myself but to share with others. Please help me to remember that good news is shared and not harbored. Help me to freely and courageously share the good news that was once shared with me.
Help me to prepare myself to give a defense for the hope that is in me. Yet, remind me that Your Holy Spirit is with me in those moments when I share the gospel with others. May He lead me and guide the words that I speak, and work in the hearts of the hearers. In Jesus’ name, amen.
