It’s no secret that I believe gratitude is one of the most important pieces of a joyful and healthy life. Afterall, there’s a reason my blog is called “So Very Blessed”!
When you think of a healthy life, “thankfulness” is probably not at the top of your goal list, but maybe it should be.
Having a heart of gratitude reduces depression, lowers anxiety, helps you sleep better, improves your cardiac health, and it even makes you more likely to exercise! (There’s a post coming soon that will tell you all about the long list of health benefits of gratitude).
The most important reason of all to practice gratitude is to fall even more deeply in love with God.
Every blessing in your life is like a little love note that He is sending for you to tell you, “See this amazing thing I created? It’s a gift just for you. This is how much you mean to me and so much more.”
Learning to notice all of the blessings in my life has taken my faith to a whole new level. Growing a thankful heart took me from knowing that God is good to experiencing God’s goodness.
Someone in my Bible study recently brought up that they try to look at life through “faith eyes.” I absolutely love that term! It’s like a filter that you see every situation, every relationship, every environment, and every struggle through. Having faith eyes and seeing God all around you changes everything.
Being able to notice and appreciate your blessings at every turn in your life gives you:
- more joy
- more peace
- more contentment
- better relationships
- more self-esteem
I have seen the power of thankfulness in my own life and I so want you to experience it, too.
It’s not something that just happens instantaneously, though. It takes intentionality and practice to cultivate a heart of gratitude.
That’s exactly why I created this 30-day challenge!
I created this calendar of simple things you can do every single day of November to cultivate a more grateful heart. They may seem like little things, but each and every one of them is backed by research to improve your quality of life.
Every day of the challenge, I will be sending out an e-mail with that day’s task.
I will also be going live in my So Very Blessed Healthy Living Facebook group for just a few minutes to go over the task for that day. There will also be a graphic for your challenge of the day, asking you to share what you are doing and how it’s going. Sharing your experience is the most important part of all!
There is so much power in community. It gives you the support and accountability you need to stay on track for the entire challenge. Plus, you get to see what others are doing for their tasks, too, which is a great way to get new ideas. I am absolutely sure I’ll be learning plenty from you all along the way, so be sure to share!
This challenge is for you if:
- you want to deepen your relationship with God
- you’re struggling to see the blessings in your life right now
- you want more joy in your life
- you want to strengthen your relationships
- you want to improve your health
Here’s what you need to do to get started:
- Join the Facebook group.
- Head over here to sign up for the daily e-mails (I’ll send you a PDF of the full calendar and everything else you need, but the e-mails you get will only be for the 30-day challenge!).
- Start praying! I have no doubt that God is going to move in your life and your heart as you go through the challenge!
I can’t wait to walk through this month with you!
