I had a loaf of French bread leftover from the French bread pizza I made the other night and all of the other ingredients were in the house as well, which also made this a fast and easy breakfast (but still fancy).

  1. Hi Becky . . . Love these recipes. Made the cauliflower soup ? today and had 2 bowls for dinner. My problem is not knowing how much to eat of a good thing. For instance, the French toast. . . How many pieces as the recipe calls for 8 sices of ? bread. Not that I couldn’t enjoy all 8 pieces ?. Just wondering your advice on this.

    1. Hi Patty. Thank you! I’m so glad you like the recipes! Servings are such a hard thing and I really think appropriate serving sizes vary person to person. I know that sweet breakfasts like this won’t keep me full unless I have some protein along with it, so I would be satisfied with one slice (or maybe two if I was really hungry) along with a scrambled egg or some Greek yogurt and fruit. I wouldn’t recommend eating only french toast for your meal because then you might need all 8 pieces to feel full!

  2. I hadn’t had french toast in a long time, but I recently rediscovered my love for it, too! And my love of maple runs deep, so that was a match made in heaven!

I haven’t been a big fan of pumpkin, but pumpkin french toast actually sounds good! I may need to try that one myself!

  3. I have a new found love for french toast, so your recipe pulled me in! I don’t make french toast very often, but I might have to start… I recently tried pumpkin french toast, I may have to try and figure that one out!
