1. A Short Closing Prayer For A Meeting
The signature statement of Paul and other apostles was often, “grace and peace to you.” This worked beautifully because there were two groups being spoken to: Jews, who greeted one another with “Shalom”, (that is “peace”) and the Gentiles who loved the truth of “grace.”
Now, those two powerful words are still sacred to any Jesus-believing gathering, and an excellent way to open or close a God-oriented meeting. We all need grace and peace for effectiveness in the Kingdom of God on earth.

When Jesus taught the disciples how to pray He used what we now call, “The Lord’s Prayer.” In it, we observe the line, “Give us this day our daily bread” Matthew 6:11.

Give us this day our daily bread. Oh, Lord, we want Your Kingship over everything in our lives, including our priorities and goals. We know no detail is too small to surrender to You. We give You full access and surrender to You to order our plans and futures.
Will You show us what we need for today? Lord, what should be top priority, what should be last priority? Awaken our conscience, our self-discipline, and our compassion to order our priorities in a way that reflects the values of Your kingdom. In Jesus Name,

Generous Lord,
