These simple and delicious Grilled Ham & Pineapple Skewers with a sweet teriyaki glaze make an easy and fresh dinner, perfect for summer barbecues.
School has been in session here for a few weeks already, but I’m still trying to soak in as many of the summer flavors as I can before we move into apples and pumpkins! I’ve been eating endless bowls of watermelon and peaches and fresh pineapple and I’ve been trying to grill whenever I can.
This is a super simple recipe where I combine grilling and fresh pineapple, which is always a winning combination.
Just chop up the ingredients. I used a mixture of red and green bell peppers, onions, ham, and pineapple.
Skewer them all up. You could put all of the ham on one skewer, the pineapple on another, etc, but I think it’s prettier when you alternate them.
Then grill ’em!
Just before you’re going to take them off the grill, brush them with teriyaki sauce.
Then just slide it all off of the skewers and you’re done! I like to serve it over brown rice, quinoa, or chow mein noodles.
The sweetness from the pineapple and teriyaki balances out the saltiness of the ham. Add in the slight crunch from the veggies and you’ve got a summer bowl of grilled teriyaki goodness!
This would make a great dish to serve at a summer cookout, especially with a luau theme.
Enjoy!
