30 Days of Juicing – Day 5
Yesterday went great…and was much easier since I knew I had my (one and only!) cheat meal last night. 😉 And what a meal it was…
We were seated right in front of an ice cream counter with at least 30 different (some really unique) flavors! They make it in the restaurant and you can definitely tell! But before the ice cream, there were prime rib fries….holy cow, they were amazing! Crispy fries covered in freshly made cheese sauce and topped with thin strips of prime rib! Heaven. I miss them already.
And then came the bacon mac & cheese…not quite as incredible as the prime rib fries, but still great!
And then…there was ice cream. I decided on 1/2 s’more and 1/2 oatmeal cookie dough. Man, oh, man…I don’t regret my food choices a bit! I do regret how much I ate (though I didn’t eat nearly as much as I used to!), because I was crazily stuffed by the time we walked out of the restaurant. It’s really hard to have self-control when you’re looking at 26 more days without any more food.
But to slightly ease my guilt, we went for a walk around the park after dinner. It was such a beautiful night! The sun was setting, there was a slight breeze, and I always love walking by all of the dogs playing in the dog park.
I did all of my juicing in the morning today and just divided it between 3 containers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I definitely need to buy more watermelon. It creates so much more juice than a lot of the other things. Today, I felt like I just couldn’t get enough juice, so I just kept preparing more and more and more produce! I’m not sure if I’ll drink all that I made (I made more than normal), but I thought I needed to try it since I’d been so hungry at night recently. We’ll see what happens!
The Menu
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner: 1 small pineapple, 1 papaya, 1 bunch celery, 2 cups spinach, 1 cucumber, 2 cups of black grapes, 2 grapefruits, 2 oranges, and 3 apples
Weight Loss Since Yesterday: +0.6 pounds (I saw that coming with the cheat meal and all…)
Weight Loss Since Day 1: -0.9 pounds
Mood: Energetic! I helped a friend move the last of his stuff to his new apartment today. He moved to the third floor of the same apartment complex, so it wasn’t far, but there were quite a few stairs! We finished pretty quickly and I still have a lot of energy to burn!
See how the rest of the juicing experiment went:
