30 Days of Modified Juicing – Day 12

|

I went to yoga class this morning and it was…intense.  And peaceful.  And hard.  And relaxing.

The yoga studio is gorgeous!  Most of the studio was covered in massive mirrors, except for a wall of windows overlooking trees and mountains (and a few buildings).  We got there about half an hour early and the studio was empty.  By the time class started, the place was PACKED!  I’m guessing we had around 40 people there.  We’re hoping it was only so full today because they canceled tomorrow’s class for Easter.  Today, I was very close to a wall, so in certain positions, my foot was against the wall and my neighbor’s foot was on my rear end.  I’m not even joking.  I’m sure she’s a nice person and all, but I don’t want to relive that.

I felt like I definitely worked my muscles and increased my flexibility, but my-oh-my, it was relaxing!  The last 5 minutes of the class were spent on our backs on the yoga mats with our eyes closed.  So. peaceful.  It was hard to convince myself to open my eyes and stand up.

I dropped off some Easter baskets to some of our favorite kiddos today and got some good play time in.

It’s always a fun time at the pastor’s house.

Afterwards, I met some friends at the Olive Garden for an Easter dinner.  I planned on being good.  I planned on eating only the garden salad with low-fat dressing, no cheese, and no croutons.  And then…I didn’t.  I cheated.  I ordered the salad for my meal, but then I ate a breadstick.  And tried a toasted ravioli.  And ended up eating way too many bits and pieces of all of the various meals at our table.

It was absolutely delicious, but my lesson is learned.  I just don’t have the willpower to stick to the diet when I go out to eat.  No more of that for me.  Honestly, with what I’ve calculated, I still don’t think I hit 1200 calories today, but that’s not the point.  I strayed away from the fruits and vegetables.  I guess it means I have to work that much harder at the gym tomorrow after church.

  1. No worries Becky, you really didn’t cheat that bad at all. Your body just needed the calories from all the working out. Guess we’re even since I cheated Saturday night with not intention to. We had friends over and the chips and dip was call my name. The guacamole is raw, but not the chips! I couldn’t resist. I did bounce back yesterday and did well. Go Day #13!! Happy Easter dear friend!

  2. No need for guilt. It is one day. One meal. You could have done worse. I ate an entire pan of chocolate chip caramel bars, pretty much by myself, today. Ha ha.
